Preamble: Scientific materialism, which has spawned ‘scientism,’ is accurate in many respects but has limits; more importantly, by attributing to it a scope of understanding it does not actually possess, it is unwittingly used to prevent other modes of analysis and perception outside its purview which it therefore regards as invalid.
